David, I love your site, and it has been very helpful. It might be helpful to post something sometime on the Prince of Goodwill, who is a person I have not seen much written about. Some examples from different contexts would be helpful.

Hi, Jerry. Any good country strategy is custom developed. Every nation, people group, or city has unique characteristics that have to be addressed by the strategy. There are certainly common elements, but the discussion and implementation of these elements require thought, research, planning, and execution. Worldview (how societies organize and see themselves and communicate this), government, economics, majority and other religions, history, and more come into play when developing a nationwide strategy. Understanding how the society has segmented itself, resources available and potential, cultural objections to the Gospel, as well as team building and equipping for this monumental task are all critical. I just spent a week helping a team think through some of these issues. It will take them a year to have significant plans in place, resource them, and implement the first small steps for proof of concept/strategy. So, I don't have a quick answer for your question, but I will put it in the hopper for future posts.

Blessings!

David,

You mentioned you are training in Africa "Country Strategy Development". What are the elements of this plan? Or do you have an outline that we could follow to develop our country strategy?
