Trip Report – Rwanda

Trip Report – Rwanda

I want to thank all of you for praying during my time in Rwanda.  During our two weeks there we trained 100+ people from 19 countries in the basics of Church Planting Movements (CPM), with follow-up training for the administrators who will be managing CPMs.  There was a high commitment to transformational ministries that develop self-replicating disciples, leaders, and churches who meet the needs of their neighbors in obedience to the commands of Christ.  I very much look forward to what God is going to do in Africa in the coming years.

We are currently related to 16 CPMs in Africa, with more ministries approaching CPM levels every day.  Our team has adopted a definition of  CPM – 100 new churches, three generations deep, in two years.  This used to sound like a tremendous challenge, but we are seeing it happen regularly.  These are churches with recognized and equipped leadership and average 50 in membership.  The Bible is their curricula, and obedience-based discipleship is their methodology.

I invite you to join me in prayer for the unreached peoples of Africa.  May God touch their hearts and minister through them to every community on the continent.

  1. David,
I so want to see that kind of multiplication in my city and with the people that I am serving. Praise God for what the Owner of us all is doing in Africa.
